Hi, I’m Sallee, I’m 38 and I live in West London with my husband, Andy and my ‘gawjus’ French Bulldog, Lou Lou!

I have known from a young age that I wanted to do something BIG with my life and against all odds, I have never stopped believing in possibility. My formative years were certainly tough but they gifted me with a crash course in resilience and growth. I am so thankful to have had my grandma as a role model. We were equal in height and she was a force of strength, creativity and grace. She would often tell me that there wasn’t anything I couldn’t be in life and not to listen to anyone who told me otherwise… myself included!

I spent the first half of my career in the fast-paced world of publishing before becoming a brand advisor and business troubleshooter to a high-profile client list. I’ve held Interim CEO and COO positions, consulted on Commercial and Operational Management projects as well as delivering Brand Strategy and Advisory Board roles.

I now work on brand projects and delivering my own series of workshops, which I absolutely love. Learning, teaching and evolving are among my favourite things and nothing motivates me more than authentic people and genuine connections.salleepoinsettenash sallee salleespeaksAs 2016 made it’s entrance, I was conscious that I’d somewhat lost my confidence and recognised that although I’m very accomplished professionally, I had spent years keeping myself small. Quite an achievement for someone who, at 6’2, ranks in the top 99.98% of the female population! I set myself a challenge to spend a whole year celebrating my extra inches, embracing My Tall Year and saying YES to all things height-related… once I’d figured out what those things actually were!

I rose to the challenge and TALL GUIDES was born and has now evolved into an online magazine baked by a community of like-heighted women from all over the world. Although ‘My Tall Year’ resulted in me becoming the Editor-In-Chief of Tall Guides Magazine, it was the remarkable journey that I went on which helped me to become visible again, both to myself and for the first time, to the outside world. By being authentic and at times, terrifyingly vulnerable, My Tall Year played out in the right way and for the right reasons – you can read all about it here.

I’m also excited to have signed a book deal for a #loveyourdifference series which celebrates diversity and encourages body confidence. The first is a tall girl edition and it will be available to buy later this year.

Outside of all of this, I’ve lived in the UK and America – spending the majority of my USA time in SoCal. I thrive on the energy of life in the city but I also love animals, nature and adventure. I’m free-spirited and I often crave the ocean, the sunshine and the moon – other than dogs, nothing makes me happier than heading off to explore the world at my own pace, in my own way! Thailand, Indonesia and Malta are three of my favourite places to hang out. Its the unfamiliar faces, new cultures and unplanned experiences that feed my curiosity and fuel my imagination.

I hope this has given you a glimpse into what I’m all about and if there’s anything more you’d like to know, you can always tweet me!
